AUGUST 2021 CONGREGATION ACCOUNTS REPORT
August, 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. 2022 Memorial: On Friday, April 15, 2022, we will observe the Lord’s Evening Meal. (Luke 22:19) No midweek meeting will be scheduled that week. Additionally, please note that the 2023 Memorial observance will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The 2024 Memorial observance will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
2. 2022 Special Public Talk: To generate enthusiasm for the Memorial, the 2022 special public talk will be presented the week before the Memorial, during the week of April 4, 2022. Congregations that have an assembly or the visit of the circuit overseer the week of April 4 will usually have the special talk one week earlier.
3. Resolved Monthly Donation to the Worldwide Work: For the upcoming service year, the congregation will be presented with a single resolution to donate a monthly amount to the worldwide work. The branch office uses worldwide work funds to support various activities that benefit congregations. Such activities include renovating and constructing Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls; caring for incidents at theocratic facilities, including those involving natural disaster, fire, theft, or vandalism; providing technology and related services; and assisting with the travel costs of selected special full-time servants in foreign service who attend international conventions.
4. Circuit Assembly Programs for the 2022 Service Year: Printed copies of circuit assembly programs for the 2022 service year will not be provided by the branch office. However, electronic copies are available on jw.org and in JW Library. If you need assistance with printing a copy from jw.org, feel free to contact your field service group overseer or another capable publisher.
5. Branch Offices and Special Full-Time Servants: Recently, the Governing Body directed all branch offices and special full-time servants to maintain various safety precautions. In many cases, this means that Bethel facilities will remain on lockdown and special full-time servants will continue to shelter in place until at least November 1, 2021. Where local circumstances permit, some restrictions may be eased before November 1, 2021. These precautions reflect the sanctity of life, protect the Kingdom work, and ensure adequate support of brothers worldwide. We appreciate the sacrifices that special full-time servants and their families are making to support these arrangements. Please continue to keep these loyal ones in your prayers.
6. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Vaccination and increase in infections: In many places in the branch territory, health authorities have administered vaccines against COVID-19. Unfortunately, new variants of the virus have emerged, which has increased infections. In some cases, authorities have once again imposed restrictions, while activities remain the same in other places. This could cause confusion regarding what precautions to take. For this reason, dear brothers and sisters, we encourage you to continue safeguarding yourselves as you have been doing since the beginning of the pandemic.
2. It is still necessary to use a face mask and disinfectant gel, frequently wash the hands, and take other protective measures. Physical distance should be kept. Therefore, Kingdom Halls should not be used for meetings yet. The following activities should not be resumed: the house-to-house ministry, conduct Bible studies at students’ homes, and public witnessing. It is not advisable to visit our Christian brothers and sisters or family members. Of course, every family head is responsible for the decisions made in their home. We trust that, as Jehovah’s servants, we will continue demonstrating wisdom.
3. Knowing that our heavenly Father is concerned about us is very reassuring. Jeremiah 29:11,12 reminds us: “‘For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. And you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.’” Remembering that Jehovah wants the best for us motivates us to safeguard ourselves and to continue showing appreciation for the gift of life.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Jw.org account e-mail addresses. More and more brothers and sisters are creating email accounts to log into jw.org. In addition to elders, ministerial servants, and those in special fulltime service, now all who wish to fill out an application for regular pioneer service, to serve as Local Design/Construction volunteers or in the volunteer program, also need an account. Therefore, it is important that we all protect the security of our accounts. With that in mind, we provide the following reminders.
2. Make sure that the commercial e-mail address that you have registered in your account and that appears in the “My User Profile” section remains valid and that it is strictly for personal use, since messages regarding your account will be sent to that address. For example, if someone requests help to log in or forgets their password or the answers to security questions, the information to resolve these issues will be sent to their commercial e-mail address.
3. Therefore, do not use someone else’s e-mail address. Anyone who has done this or has registered an invalid e-mail address should change it as soon as possible. 4. The congregation secretary can help you verify that your e-mail address is still valid or help you change it if necessary.
5. We appreciate your efforts in following these instructions, which will contribute to keeping your jw.org account secure.
JUNE 2021 CONGREGATION ACCOUNTS REPORT

The congregation also forwarded donations from contribution boxes to the branch office in the amount of 23,282 pesos for the worldwide work. A copy of the Monthly Congregation Accounts Report will be posted on the information board.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Rotation of Circuit Overseer Assignments: A rotation of circuit overseer assignments will not take place in September 2021. In general, circuit overseers will remain in their current assignments through the 2022 service year. We know that you will continue to confirm your deep appreciation for your circuit overseer and, if married, his wife.
2. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Commendation for your obedience and self-sacrifice. We wish to commend you because, for over one year now, you have been “obedient from the heart” and followed the instructions the organization has given during the pandemic.—Rom. 6:17.
2. Dear brothers, although it cannot be easy to see neighbors and others begin to return to a normal routine of life, like Caleb, you have demonstrated “a different spirit”. (Num. 14:24) Even though others are not aware of the sacrifices each one of you has made, Jesus assures us, “your Father who looks on in secret will repay you”. (Mat. 6:4) Your example reminds us of Noah. Building the ark took him between 40 and 50 years. Can you imagine the perseverance required to continue its construction day after day, year after year, for decades? Despite this, the Bible tells us that “Noah did according to all that God had commanded him.” (Gen. 6:22) Likewise, month after month, for the past 15 months, you have been obedient and patient. Your perseverance and trust in Jehovah and his organization is worthy of commendation. (Ps. 40:4) We do not know how much longer this pandemic will continue. However, we know that Jehovah will bless you. His Word assures us “we will reap if we do not tire out”.—Gal. 6:9.
3. We pray that Jehovah will strengthen you “with all power according to his glorious might so
that you may endure fully with patience and joy”.—Col. 1:11.
June 4, 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. COVID-19 Restrictions: Many governmental public health authorities have stated that fully vaccinated people may have greater flexibility in their activities. These activities might include association with others, travel, and assembling for events. It is wise to keep updated on the local governmental requirements and to respect them.
2. As mentioned in the video 2021 Governing Body Update #4, Jehovah’s Witnesses are not against vaccination. We view it as a personal decision for each Christian to make. In cooperation with recommendations from public health officials, many in our Bethel families have already chosen to be vaccinated. Medical studies have shown that those who are fully vaccinated have added protection against the virus. A person becomes “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. Medical studies have also shown that those who choose not to be vaccinated should remain more cautious, since they are far more susceptible to the virus. All of you are to be warmly commended as you continue to show good judgment and act in a way that demonstrates your respect for life.
MAY 2021 CONGREGATION ACCOUNTS REPORT
For the month of May 2021, the congregation received a total of 27,000 pesos. Congregation expenditures for the month totaled 3,888 pesos. This left a month-end balance of 32,112 pesos. The congregation also forwarded donations from contribution boxes to the branch office in the amount of 13,536 pesos for the worldwide work. A copy of the Monthly Congregation Accounts Report will be posted on the information board.
June 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Adjusted Student Assignments: As a reminder, the Enjoy Life Forever! brochure will be featured in the Bible study student assignments beginning in June 2021. Since the material to be considered for these assignments does not appear in the Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook, please refer to the list of adjustments that the elders provided you.
2. Annual Items: Annual items for 2022 will be made available for download beginning in October of this year. Publishers who require hard copy editions may now request the following items: 2021 Watchtower and Awake! bound volume, Examining the Scriptures Daily— 2022, and the Watch Tower Publications Index 2021. Additionally, requests may be submitted for braille editions of Examining the Scriptures Daily.
3. Bethel Service: Although circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic have limited the number of those who can be invited into Bethel service at this time, we are still interested in knowing who may be available to serve when it becomes possible to invite more volunteers. Therefore, baptized Christians 19 years of age or older who desire to pursue Bethel service or assist with theocratic construction projects on a part-time or fulltime basis should speak to their congregation secretary to receive further instructions on submitting an application. Where possible, it is preferred that publishers who have access to the Internet use the online application features. Additionally, applicants should view the videos Making Yourself Available for Bethel Service and Be Honest in All Things (Bethel/ Construction Application) before submitting an application to their elders.
4. Posting Material on Websites and Social Media: While we may share information from the organization’s websites by sending a link to individuals, we should not post on the Internet any artwork, electronic publications, trademarks, music, photos, videos, or article from our websites. This would include theocratic programs on jw.org or JW Stream, such as monthly broadcasts, congregation meetings, circuit assemblies, and conventions. If you have posted such material on any website or social media without permission, please remove it. More information on this topic can be found in the April 2018 issue of The Watchtower, pages 30-31, and on jw.org under “Terms of Use.”
5. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Arrangements for Viewing the 2021 Convention: We greatly anticipate viewing the six sessions of the upcoming “Powerful by Faith!” convention program. The convention program will be released incrementally on JW Broadcasting during the months of July and August. Many will view the sessions at the same time. Understandably, because of family circumstances or other reasons, some publishers may find it necessary to view the convention sessions at other times. This is left to the good judgment of each family head.
2. 2021 Pioneer Service School: As an exception, approval has been given for the 2021 Pioneer Service School to be conducted via videoconference. Pioneers eligible to attend will be informed of the arrangements in due course.
3. Donation Acknowledgments: We commend the efforts of the many publishers who have adapted to using electronic methods of donating to support Kingdom interests, such as by using donate.jw.org. An adjustment has been made to unify how all donations received at the branch office are acknowledged. Once your donation is received, a receipt will be emailed to you to acknowledge the donation amount. Thereafter, a separate letter
of appreciation will be sent each month that the branch office receives a donation from you. Note that all email messages from the branch office will be sent from an email address that ends with “@jw.org.” For technical support regarding the use of donate.jw.org, the elders have assigned Donovan Nolte to help you.
4. If you choose to send your donation to the branch office using a method other than donate. jw.org, please provide your email address with your donation so that you can receive a receipt and letter of appreciation. Thank you for your continued support by means of your generous donations.
5. Branch Offices and Special Full-Time Servants: Recently, the Governing Body directed all branch offices and special full-time servants to maintain various safety precautions. In most cases, this means that Bethel facilities will remain on lockdown and special full-time servants will continue to shelter in place until at least August 1, 2021. If local circumstances permit, some restrictions may be eased before August 1, 2021. We appreciate
the sacrifices that special full-time servants and their families are making. Please continue to keep these loyal ones in your prayers.
6. Worldwide Campaign in November 2021: The cover series for The Watchtower No. 2 2021 is “A Better World is Near.” Although this issue will soon be available for use in the ministry, in November 2021 it will be featured in a worldwide campaign to focus attention on the Bible’s hope of a better world soon to come. Publishers will be encouraged to share one scripture that highlights this hope with as many people as possible and to place a copy of the magazine with all interested persons. Publishers who decide to serve as auxiliary pioneers during November 2021 will have the option of choosing the 30-hour or 50-hour requirement.
7. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant.

APRIL 2021 CONGREGATION ACCOUNTS REPORT
For the month of April 2021, the congregation received a total of 11,400 pesos. Congregation expenditures for the month totaled 3,888 pesos. This left a month-end balance of 22,536 pesos. The congregation also forwarded donations from contribution boxes to the branch office in the amount of 6,440 pesos for the worldwide work. April 20, 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Updated COVID-19 statistics. Since the beginning of 2020, the world has been scarred by the COVID-19 pandemic. (Luke 21:11) We are saddened to inform you that in our branch territory, as of April 19, 2021, more than 42,802 brothers and sisters have been infected and 2,944 have passed away. Despite this difficult situation, our dear brothers and sisters continue to stay active in the ministry.
2. The following experience illustrates this: A sister went to a hospital to receive medical treatment due to COVID-19 symptoms. Her 7-year-old son sent an audio message to the doctor to thank her for the care and to share the good news of the Bible. The doctor said that she was moved to tears, and asked that messages like these be sent to approximately 100 of her tele-health patients. The boy, with the help of his mother, prepared audio messages with Bible topics that the doctor then sent to the group. Because of the interest shown, the sister called each of the patients in the group. One of them had previously been a non-baptized publisher, and as a result of the audio messages she started attending meetings via videoconference. To this day, four people, including the doctor, have conversations about the Bible with our brothers.
3. We pray that Jehovah continues to be “a secure refuge in times of distress” for our affected brothers and sisters.—Ps. 9:9.
April 1, 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Jehovah helps us to cope with financial difficulties. The ride of the horsemen of the Apocalypse has never been clearer than it is now, and even though we ‘lift up our heads because our deliverance is getting near,’ we are not immune to the difficulties of these “critical times hard to deal with.” (2 Tim. 3:1; Luke 21:28; Rev. 6:1-7) One of these is economic pressures. Therefore, we find comfort in the words of the psalmist: “I was once young and now I am old, but I have not seen anyone righteous abandoned, nor his children looking for bread.” (Ps. 37:25) No matter what challenges we face, we trust that Jehovah will be at our side and that we will “be undisturbed by the dread of calamity.”―Prov. 1:33; Heb. 13:5.
2. Many of our fellow Christians are successfully coping with financial difficulties. (1 Pet. 5:9) What has helped them? On jw.org® we can find the videos Love Never Fails Despite… Poverty, from Congo and France; and the video Venezuela: Love and Faith During Difficult Times. Also, Bible principles and helpful tips can be found in the jw.org® article “How to Live on Less,” and in the January 2010 Awake!, pages 7 to 9. Why not use one of your family worship evenings to review some of the videos or the information contained in these references? How grateful we are to Jehovah for giving us reminders that ‘make us wise’ in difficult times.―Ps. 19:7.
April 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Downloading the Enjoy Life Forever! Book: The new Enjoy Life Forever! book will soon be available in the JW Library app. Even if you have already downloaded the PDF version of the book, we urge you to download the book in the JW Library app. The app will allow you to access fully all of the features of this interactive Bible course. As a reminder, please be sure that you have the latest version of JW Library before you download Enjoy Life Forever!
2. Adjusted Student Assignments: Now that the Enjoy Life Forever! brochure is available, it will be featured in the Bible study student assignments beginning in June 2021. Since the material to be considered for these assignments does not appear in the Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook, the elders will provide a list of the adjustments to all publishers and others who receive student assignments. When a video appears in the material, it should be discussed but not played. When an initial call or a return visit assignment directs that a publication be offered, the assigned publisher should offer a publication from the Teaching Toolbox other than the Teach Us book. Further information about how to use the new brochure and book will appear in the September-October 2021 Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook.
3. Personal Decisions During the Pandemic: In some parts of the world, governments have begun to make COVID-19 vaccines available to the public. Whether someone chooses to be vaccinated is a personal decision. (Gal. 6:5) Thus, it would be loving to respect the personal decision that each individual makes based on his Bible-trained conscience, instead of pressuring someone to make the same choice that we made.
4. When making decisions about personal activities such as socializing in person, traveling, and so forth, we want to be more cautious than the secular authorities and our neighbors, who are often eager to resume activities for economic reasons.
5. We are prayerfully considering how and when to resume our theocratic activities in a progressive and safe manner. However, for the time being, the Governing Body’s direction regarding our organizational activities during the pandemic remains the same. Therefore, in-person preaching work—door-to-door witnessing, return visits, Bible studies, public witnessing— continues to be suspended. The Kingdom Hall should not be used unless approved by the branch office. In time, more direction will be provided regarding when various
aspects of our theocratic activities can be resumed.
6. We kindly remind you of the importance of taking safety precautions at all times. Such precautions include wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, and washing hands regularly. If you experience cold or flu-like symptoms, it would be best for you to stay home and notify your health-care provider.
7. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant.
NEW PUBLICATIONS

March 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Medical Matters: Baptized publishers may obtain a durable power of attorney (DPA) card at any time from the literature servant. If any publisher (baptized or unbaptized) needs assistance in locating a cooperative doctor and medical facility that have experience in bloodless medicine, the elders will be pleased to assist. Any time you expect to be hospitalized, we recommend that you inform one of the elders ahead of time. When hospitalized, publishers are encouraged to inform the hospital that they would welcome a visit from
a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
2. Special Morning Worship on Day of Memorial: We eagerly look forward to obeying Jesus’ command to “keep doing this.” (Luke 22:19) Those words refer to the observance of the Memorial of Christ’s death, which we will observe on Saturday, March 27, 2021, after sundown. In connection with that special day, the Governing Body has approved all who have access to jw.org or JW Library to have the opportunity to enjoy a discussion of the
text for that day, which will be presented by a member of the Governing Body. The program will also include the Memorial Bible reading for the dates equivalent to Nisan 13 and Nisan 14. Therefore, on the morning of March 27, 2021, we encourage everyone to allow themselves enough time before their daily activities begin to enjoy the 15-minute program. The program may be accessed in the same way as other JW Broadcasting programs.
3. Enjoy Life Forever!: Once the new Enjoy Life Forever! brochure becomes available in your language, you may use it to start Bible studies. It contains the first three lessons from the Enjoy Life Forever! book. After completing the brochure, if the student wishes to continue studying and the book is available in your language, you may continue the study starting in the fourth lesson of the book. If the Enjoy Life Forever! book is not yet available in your language, you may continue the study in the Teach Us book. Once the new brochure and the book are available in your language, they will replace the Teach Us and the Remain in God’s Love books and the Good News and the Jehovah’s Will brochures in our Teaching Toolbox. The Enjoy Life Forever! book covers everything that the student needs to learn to qualify for Christian baptism.
4. If you are already studying with someone in the Teach Us or the Remain in God’s Love book, you may determine when to transfer to the Enjoy Life Forever! book and where to begin in the book. However, if the Bible student has already studied the Teach Us book and is completing the last few chapters of Remain in God’s Love, you may decide to complete that publication and encourage the student to study the Enjoy Life Forever! book on his own. If your student has completed the Listen to God or the Listen to God and Live Forever brochure, discuss the material in the Enjoy Life Forever! book according to the student’s ability. We encourage you to become thoroughly familiar with the new brochure and book, perhaps by studying them during family worship. By doing so, you will be able to use these new tools more effectively.
5. Writing to Imprisoned Brothers: Many publishers have inquired about sending letters to brothers who are imprisoned for their faith. There is no arrangement for the branch office to provide addresses for these brothers or to forward personal letters, packages, or gifts to them. Writing to imprisoned brothers is a personal matter. Thus, it would not be appropriate to organize groups or campaigns for the purpose of writing to imprisoned brothers unless instructed by your branch office to do so.
6. We commend you for ‘keeping in mind’ our brothers who are imprisoned for their faith. (Heb. 13:3) In the first century, imprisoned brothers such as Peter and Paul were greatly helped by the prayers of fellow believers. (Read Acts 12:5.) May we never cease praying in behalf of our dear imprisoned brothers, trusting that Jehovah will give them the strength to endure!—Eph. 6:18; Heb. 10:34.
7. Donation of properties, construction or renovation of Kingdom Halls and apartments: The elders have been reminded of the direction regarding the construction or any major or minor renovation of a Kingdom Hall, meeting place, or an apartment of a special full-time servant, as well as the renting of any facility to be used for such purposes. Approval must be granted from the branch in order to begin these projects. If you find your
congregation in this situation and have any doubts, please speak with your circuit overseer. (od chap. 11 pars. 15-17) Additionally, no congregation should purchase property or accept property as a donation without the approval of the branch.
8. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Maintaining Precautions During the Pandemic: We exhort you not to let down your guard and to continue following recommended safety precautions. Such precautions include washing your hands frequently, not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with dirty hands, covering your nose and mouth with the inside of your elbow or with a handkerchief when sneezing, wearing face coverings, and maintaining physical distancing. Also, be sure to follow any restrictions that secular authorities impose.
2. In view of the dangers involved and the value we put on life, it would be wise to limit our contact with family and friends outside of our household to only necessary matters.
3. As part of your family worship, we encourage you to watch the 2020 Governing Body Update #9 presented by Brother Lett of the Governing Body and review the Bible principles highlighted in the video. We are sure that you will take to heart these reminders and do your best to follow them.
February 2021
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Auxiliary Pioneering: March and April are ideal times to auxiliary pioneer. The special campaign to invite as many as possible to the Memorial begins on Saturday, February 27, 2021. In most congregations, the special talk, “Have You Found a ‘Pearl of High Value’?” will be presented the week of March 15, 2021. And this year, the Memorial will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021. As a reminder, during the months of March and April and during the month of the circuit overseer’s regular visit, publishers have the option of choosing a 30-hour requirement. We encourage you to make your plans now for increased service during these months.
2. JW Library Updates: An updated version of JW Library has been released that will add features specifically for the Enjoy Life Forever! publications. All publishers are encouraged to make good use of the electronic copies of these publications when they become available. Since the JW Library app is updated frequently, please be sure that you have the lat-est version of JW Library prior to downloading the new book or brochure. This may involve regularly checking the app store for updates or turning on automatic updates for this app on your device.
3. Maintaining Precautions During the Pandemic: Although vaccines are gradually being distributed in various parts of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread rapidly and new strains of the virus are appearing. As was mentioned in 2020 Governing Body Update #9, this is not the time to let down our guard. Worldwide over 8,600 of our brothers and sisters have died from the virus.
4. The Governing Body has directed all branch offices and special full-time servants to maintain various safety precautions. In most cases, this means that Bethel facilities are remaining on lockdown and special full-time servants are sheltering in place until at least May 1, 2021. These precautions are vital for protecting the Kingdom work. Please continue to pray for the worldwide Bethel family and for the special full-time servants in the field. We are confident that Jehovah values their obedience.
5. We urge all of you dear brothers and sisters to remember the principle stated at 1 Corinthians 10:12: “Let the one who thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall.” Alt-hough we personally may have avoided being infected with the virus, we must not become complacent. We again commend you for your faithful adherence to the adjusted theocratic arrangements during this pandemic.
6. Special Conventions: The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to create uncertainties about the safety of holding large international gatherings. In view of this, we have decided to postpone special conventions until 2023, if circumstances permit.
7. Telephone Witnessing: Many publishers are having positive results in telephone witnessing. As a reminder, householders should generally not be placed on speakerphone. (Matt. 7:12) However, when a companion is needed to assist, such as if the publisher is a child, is hard of hearing, or is preaching in a language with which he is not comfortable, a speakerphone may be used. In such cases, at the beginning of the conversation, the publisher should introduce the person accompanying him. Family heads are responsible to train their children in the preaching work. (Deut. 6:4-7) Parents should ensure that their children are always properly supervised when their children engage in the ministry, including when witnessing by telephone or by letter. Please remember that telephone witnessing, like all other aspects of your personal ministry, should comply with applicable data protection laws.
8. Regular Pioneer Hour Requirement: As a reminder, until further notice, regular pioneers are not expected to reach a specific hour requirement. This applies to all regular pioneers, including those who are newly appointed.
9. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
Lifting of COVID-19 government restrictions: Although authorities may remove restrictions, bodies of elders are guided by instructions received from the branch. We all do well in imitating their example of obedience. (Heb. 13:7) This may require effort, but we are convinced that following Jehovah’s guidance is what will bring us and our families the greatest benefits.—Deut. 32:47.
DECEMBER CONGREGATION ACCOUNTS ANNOUNCEMENT
For the month of December 2020, the congregation received a total of 17,050 pesos. Congregation expenditures for the month totaled 3,888 pesos. This left a month-end balance of 9,000 pesos. The congregation also forwarded donations from contribution boxes to the branch office in the amount of 13,162 pesos for the worldwide work. A copy of the Monthly Congregation Accounts Report will be posted on the information board.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Annual Meeting Releases: Two new provisions for conducting Bible studies were announced during the first JW Broadcasting segment of the annual meeting of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. The PDF format of the Enjoy Life Forever! brochure is now available for download. The full digital formats of the brochure will be avail-able after March 1. The PDF format of the Enjoy Life Forever! book will be available after March 1. The full digital formats of the book will be available in mid-April. Printed copies of the publications will be made available in due course. If you begin using the printed publications prior to the release of the full digital formats, you will have to use the links in the PDF format to access the many videos and other referenced materials that are part of the Enjoy Life Forever! publications.
2. JW Stream–Studio: We are pleased to inform you that, where possible, the 2021 circuit assembly with the circuit overseer (CA-co) program and the 2021 special meeting with regular pioneers, special pioneers, and field missionaries program will be broadcast via a product called JW Stream–Studio. This product will allow attendees to watch a live stream of their circuit’s programs from their homes. If this provision will be used in your circuit, the circuit overseer will provide further information to the elders.
3. 2021 Special Talk and Memorial: On Saturday, March 27, 2021, we will observe the Lord’s Evening Meal. (Luke 22:19) No weekend meeting will be scheduled that week. With advance planning, it should be possible for most publishers to acquire the emblems. Some may find it helpful to review the December 15, 2013, issue of The Watchtower, page 23, paragraphs 5-7, and the video How to Make Memorial Bread, available on jw.org.
4. Circuit Overseer’s Visit: We wish to express appreciation for all the support you have given to the visits of circuit overseers. No doubt all of us value their tireless efforts in our behalf, especially the encouragement we have received from them since the beginning of the pandemic. Many of these brothers are spending countless hours on the telephone or in video conferences to give talks, conduct meetings, make shepherding visits, and take the lead in the ministry. In view of the unique circumstances, circuit overseers and their wives have been given more flexibility in their schedule. We are sure that you appreciate receiving this update and will continue to give loving support to our circuit overseers and their wives as they fulfill their assignment to strengthen the congregations.
5. Preaching Work: Because of the high risk of transmitting or contracting the COVID-19 virus, the house-to-house ministry and public witnessing continue to be suspended until further notice. This includes not making in-person return visits or conducting in-person Bible studies. Please continue to take advantage of other methods of witnessing. While the elders will be pleased to provide you with training, no one should feel pressured to participate in any specific method of preaching, since each publisher’s circumstances are different. Regardless of the methods of witnessing you choose, be assured that Jehovah is pleased with your whole-souled service.
6. 2020 Governing Body Update #9: We encourage all to watch the 2020 Governing Body Update #9 video presented by Brother Lett of the Governing Body. In view of its importance, please arrange for your entire family to watch the 15-minute video as soon as possible. To access the video on jw.org, go to LIBRARY > JW BROADCASTING > NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. To access the video on JW Library, go to MEDIA > VIDEO > JW BROAD-CASTING > NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. Please note that the video will be played during the midweek meeting during the week of January 18, 2021, in place of the 15-minute part “Annual Conventions—Opportunities to Show Love.”
7. Property Legalization Project: Throughout the branch territory, a special project is being carried out with the following objectives:
1) Legalizing properties that are not yet registered in the organization’s name.—1 Cor. 14:33.
2) Keeping up with tax payments and, if possible, applying for tax exemption for organization properties.—Matt. 22:21.
8. To that end, we have formed 40 teams that will help with this work in the field. These teams will contact the congregations to gather the necessary information for the processes of legalization and tax exemption for organization properties. We trust that you will assist them and provide them with the needed data and documents. In some cases, traveling over-seers and elders will be asked to recommend publishers who could help with this project. These ones should be diligent, responsible, reliable, and cooperative. They should also have the availability and be willing to use their own resources.
9. If you wish to report any matter related to property legalization or taxes, please write to the JWpub inbox Contabilidad-Bienes Raíces or to bienesraices@jw.org. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support.
10. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant.

1. COVID-19 Vaccine Information: Several COVID-19 vaccines may soon be approved and become available. Some have asked if these vaccines contain blood or blood fractions. We have confirmed that the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer and BioNTech (COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2) does not contain blood or blood fractions. As details become available regarding other vaccines, additional information will be provided. Medical care is a matter for personal decision. We do not attempt to make choices for others.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. 2021 Special Public Talk and Memorial: You may wish to mark the following dates on your calendar. The Memorial will be on Saturday, March 27, 2021. To generate enthusiasm for the Memorial, the special talk will be presented during the week of March 15, 2021. The theme is “Have You Found a ‘Pearl of High Value’?” Congregations that have an assembly or the visit of the circuit overseer the week of March 15 will usually have the special talk one week earlier. For our congregation, the special talk will be presented on Sunday March 21, 2021. Most congregations will enjoy a live talk presented via video-conference.
2. Provision for Reporting Less Than 15 Minutes: We deeply appreciate your efforts to share in the ministry each month despite the restrictions imposed upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have no doubt that Jehovah understands your circumstances and treasures your whole-souled service. We are therefore pleased to inform you that, until further notice, any publisher who shares in the ministry during a month, even if this amounts to less than 15 minutes, will continue as an active publisher. If you share in the ministry for less than one hour, all you will need to do is to inform your group overseer that you shared in the ministry during the month. You do not need to specify the number of minutes you shared in preaching. As you do what you can to fully accomplish your ministry, please be assured of our warm Christian love and best wishes.—Read 2 Corinthians 8:12.
3. Maintaining Precautions During the Pandemic: In many communities, COVID-19 is spreading very quickly. While we may be alert to take safety precautions when caring for essential matters that require us to come in contact with the public, we may be inclined to let our guard down when we have necessary contact with family and friends outside of our household. Therefore, we kindly remind you of the importance of taking safety precautions at all times. Such precautions include wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, and washing hands regularly. If you experience cold or flu-like symptoms, it would be best for you to stay home and notify your health-care provider.
4. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

November 2020
FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Circuit Assemblies: All live circuit assemblies have been canceled until further notice. Therefore, the congregation will view the entire prerecorded assembly via JW Stream on the same weekend that the live program was scheduled. The elders will provide publishers and interested persons with a link to the video along with further direction as needed. As is the case with live circuit assemblies, no midweek meeting will be held and no local public talk will be presented that week. However, the congregation will hold an abbreviated Watchtower Study on the weekend. Arrangements for the special meeting with regular pioneers, special pioneers, and field missionaries that is generally held in connection with a circuit assembly will be announced later in the service year.
2. Pure Worship of Jehovah—Restored at Last!: Beginning the week of November 16, 2020, the Pure Worship book will be considered at the Congregation Bible Study. This book provides an updated explanation of the prophecies in the book of Ezekiel—thrilling inspired visions that affect our everlasting future! The Pure Worship book will build our faith in those prophecies, strengthen our determination to give Jehovah the pure worship he deserves, and encourage us to keep in expectation of the time soon to come when the nations will have to know Jehovah’s great name. (Read Ezekiel 38:23.) Prepare carefully each week. When we begin a chapter, try to read through the entire chapter to get an overview. Then, study the portion assigned for that week. Look up the scriptures, especially any “Read” scriptures, and study any boxes that are included in the lesson. Take note of the many beautiful illustrations, which have been carefully researched and are designed to teach. Participate in the study each week, if possible.
3. 2021 Public Editions of The Watchtower and Awake!: There will be a delay of approximately three months in the release of the 2021 public editions of The Watchtower Nos. 2 and 3, and Awake! Nos. 1, 2, and 3. Publishers may offer other items from the Teaching Toolbox in the ministry.
4. 2020 Pioneer Service School: In April 2020, all theocratic schools, including the 2020 Pioneer Service School, were suspended. We are pleased to inform you that, as an exception, approval has been given for the 2020 Pioneer Service School to be conducted via video-conference. Pioneers eligible to attend will be informed of the arrangements in due course.
5. Maintaining Precautions During the Pandemic: We commend you for your faithful adherence to the adjusted theocratic arrangements during this pandemic. Although we miss attending meetings with our congregation in person and engaging in the field ministry as we would like, we realize that these adjustments help to keep Jehovah’s name free from reproach and help to protect our health and that of our brothers.
6. Nevertheless, the pandemic has taken a serious toll on our worldwide brotherhood. Thus far, over 130,000 of our brothers and sisters have been infected with the virus. While many have recovered, we are deeply saddened to inform you that worldwide over 5,000 of our brothers and sisters have died from the virus. It is for this reason that the Governing Body has directed all branch offices and special full-time servants to maintain various safety precautions. In most cases, this means that Bethel facilities are remaining on lock-down and special full-time servants are sheltering in place at least until February 1, 2021. These precautions are vital to protecting the Kingdom work. We appreciate the support and encouragement that you give these brothers and sisters, as it helps them loyally follow the direction they have received. Please continue to pray for the worldwide Bethel family and for the special full-time servants in the field. We are confident that Jehovah values their obedience.
7. In some parts of the world, COVID-19 is resurging. Additionally, the longer the pandemic continues, the more of a toll it exacts emotionally, mentally, and physically. However, now is not the time to let down our guard. To that end, you may find it beneficial to review the three key principles highlighted in the 2020 Governing Body Update #4 as part of your family worship.
8. Each family head must prayerfully decide the wisest and safest course for his house-hold during this pandemic. When considering the physical and emotional needs of his family, he should continue to evaluate the risk of possible exposure to the virus. This includes such factors as the following:
(1) Does the nature of the secular employment of anyone in the household increase his risk of exposure to the virus?
(2) Are any members of the household elderly, or do they have underlying health conditions?
(3) How rapidly is the virus spreading in the community?
(4) What are the government directives for the area?
9. Whether you are at your place of employment, at school, or at medical appointments or going food shopping or caring for other essential personal matters that require you to come in contact with the public, we encourage you to maintain your vigilance in taking safety precautions. These include wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, and washing hands regularly. If you experience cold or flu-like symptoms, it would be best for you to stay home and notify your health-care provider.
10. Since the needs of each family are unique, the decisions made by one family head may differ from the decisions made by another. We should respect the personal decisions that others make in such matters. Galatians 6:5 reminds us: “Each one will carry his own load.” We trust that each family head will prayerfully decide how best to care for his family, being guided by Bible principles and obeying directives of “the superior authorities.” (Rom. 13:1) Please know that we love and respect all of you very much.
11. The donate.jw.org website: We are happy to inform you that the organization has approved a new section in the Accounting Department to provide assistance to those who have resolved in their heart to be cheerful givers. (2 Co. 9:7) To benefit from this provision, go to donate.jw.org > GET HELP > CONTACT US. In this section you may request information regarding how to donate by means of electronic bank transfers, debit and credit cards, as well as how to make donations of cash, jewelry or other valuable personal belongings, insurance and retirement/pension plans, bank accounts, stocks and bonds, real state, wills and trusts.
12. Contact details on jw.org: We request that those who have a jw.org account ensure their contact details, including any telephone numbers, are up to date.
13. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. 2021 Regional Convention: Many have expressed great appreciation for the special arrangement to benefit from the 2020 regional convention during this corona virus pandemic. Because of the uncertainty of holding large gatherings in 2021 and the evidence of Jehovah’s blessing on this year’s convention program, the Governing Body recently approved the following arrangements for the 2021 regional convention program.
2. Similar to this year’s convention, the program will be prerecorded and will feature Governing Body members and their helpers who host JW Broadcasting monthly programs. It will be translated into some 500 languages and posted on JW Broadcasting during the months of July and August. Most brothers and sisters will enjoy the program in private homes. If local conditions permit and approval is given, some may have an opportunity to view the sessions together in person at Kingdom Halls or Assembly Halls.
3. We are confident that this simultaneous convention program from world headquarters will further unify the entire brotherhood and strengthen our faith, helping us to endure challenging circumstances. Fittingly, the theme for the convention program is “Powerful by Faith!” We express our thanks to Jehovah for these timely spiritual provisions and pray for his continued guidance deep in this time of the end.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Midweek Meeting Part on Neutrality: The week of October 26, 2020, a 15-minute part entitled “Why Is Neutrality So Important?” will be presented in place of the 5-minute local needs part. We encourage all to make special effort to be in attendance.
2. If you find your congregation in this situation and have any doubts, please speak with your circuit overseer. (od chap. 11 pars. 15-17) Additionally, no congregation should purchase property or accept property as a donation without the approval of the branch.
3. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

1. Influenza (flu) season. Considering that flu season is approaching, we encourage you to check the information provided by the health authorities regarding precautionary measures to avoid or reduce infection, since its symptoms are similar to those of COVID-19. In some places, health institutions provide vaccines or medication free of charge to strengthen the immune system. Each family head will decide which medical treatment is best for the family. In any event, do not forget to take the necessary precautions to protect against COVID-19 when away from home.

TO THE CONGREGATIONS
1. 2021 Regional Convention: Because of the uncertainties of safely holding large gatherings in 2021, direction regarding the arrangements for the regional convention will be provided at a later time.
2. Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook: Beginning January 2021, the Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook will be published every two months and will contain 16 pages. Although the content will remain basically unchanged, the outline points for the ten-minute talk in the Treasures From God’s Word section of the meeting will now appear on the same page as the artwork. Revised Instructions for Our Christian Life and Ministry Meeting (S-38) will be provided in due course. Those who are able to use an electronic copy of the meeting work-book are encouraged to do so.
3. Worldwide Campaign in November 2020: We greatly anticipate the November 2020 campaign to focus attention on God’s Kingdom and distribute The Watchtower No. 2 2020 to interested persons. This special effort will no doubt bring much comfort and hope to those longing for a better future. Therefore, publishers should plan to do all they can to participate in this exciting campaign. In November, all those serving as auxiliary pioneers may choose a 30- or 50-hour requirement. While it appears that it will not be possible to preach from house-to-house and engage in public witnessing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, publishers should take full advantage of other methods of preaching to share a scripture and to distribute a printed or digital copy of the magazine to those who demonstrate interest. Besides those who live in the congregation’s territory, such interested per-sons could include relatives, workmates, schoolmates, former Bible students, and other acquaintances. Contact could be made by telephone, text messaging, e-mail, or letter writing. As a reminder, publishers should not send text messages or e-mails to individuals with whom they are not personally acquainted. Additionally, the elders will make specific arrangements to send the magazine to local government officials and businesses in the congregation’s territory.
4. Once publishers have distributed The Watchtower No. 2 2020 to interested persons, any remaining magazines may be included in giving a witness to others by letter writing. At the midweek meeting for the week of October 26, 2020, during the part entitled “Special Campaign in November to Publicize God’s Kingdom,” more information will be provided on how to carry out the campaign according to local circumstances.

TO THE CONGREGATIONS
1. Updated information regarding COVID-19 and reminders. The branch, along with congregation elders, Disaster Relief Committees, and circuit overseers, remain attentive to the situation of our brothers and sisters in the region. Recent news shows how this disease is causing much harm to the population. Therefore, it is important to remain alert and not let our guard down. For example, recent reports show that unfortunately, 5,492 of our brothers have fallen sick with COVID-19 and 528 have passed away. Please keep these brothers and their families in your prayers.
2. What can you do? Your loving deeds for our brothers and sisters, both on a local level as well as contributions sent to the worldwide work, are much appreciated since this allows our brothers to receive the assistance they need. (2 Cor. 9:8-14) Additionally, social distancing measures and practicing good hygiene can prevent the spread of this disease. In order to offer helpful suggestions, the elders will provide the document Cleaning and disinfection during the COVID-19 pandemic to each family or publisher in the congregation. This document explains some practical measures, that if applied carefully, will help to protect you and your family.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Circuit Assembly Programs for 2021 Service Year: Printed copies of circuit assembly programs for the 2021 service year will not be provided by the branch office. However, electronic copies are available on jw.org and in JW Library. If you need assistance with printing a copy from jw.org, feel free to contact your field service group overseer or another capable publisher.
2. Memorial: On Saturday, March 27, 2021, we will observe the Lord’s Evening Meal. (Luke 22:19) No weekend meeting will be scheduled that week. Additionally, please note that the 2022 Memorial observance will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022. The 2023 Memorial observance will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
3. 2021 Special Talk: To generate enthusiasm for the Memorial, the 2021 special public talk will be presented the week before the Memorial, during the week of March 15, 2021. Congregations that have an assembly or the visit of the circuit overseer the week of March 15 will usually have the special talk one week earlier.
4. Hour Requirement for Pioneers and Missionaries: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the ministry of pioneers and field missionaries. The Governing Body understands the challenges and does not want these faithful servants to feel pressured to meet an hour requirement. Thus, until further notice, regular pioneers, special pioneers, and missionaries are not expected to reach a specific hour requirement. We are confident that all will do their best. We hope this provision allows our hardworking pioneers and missionaries to continue to find joy in their service during this challenging time.—Read Colossians 3:23, 24.
5. Adjustment to Resolved Congregation Donations: In the past, the congregation was presented with multiple resolutions to donate funds to the branch office in support of various activities cared for by the organization. This arrangement has been simplified. For the upcoming service year, the congregation will be presented with a single resolution to donate a monthly amount to the worldwide work.
7. Cell Phone Contract with Unlimited Internet: An agreement was recently made with AT&T to obtain prepaid telephone plans with unlimited internet. This arrangement is only available for those who live in Mexico. We hope it will be a low-cost option to help connect to congregation meetings by video-conference. For more details, please talk to your congregation secretary.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. 2021 Special Conventions: The current COVID-19 pandemic has created uncertainties about being able to safely enjoy the large international gatherings of special conventions planned for 2021. In view of this, we have decided to postpone these events until 2022, if circumstances permit.
2. Bible Study Video Reference Guide: We are pleased to inform you of the release of a new digital-only publication entitled Bible Study Video Reference Guide. This publication will assist publishers in making more effective use of our videos on jw.org when conducting Bible studies in the books What Can the Bible Teach Us? and How to Remain in God’s Love. This new publication will be available on jw.org, JW Library, the Watchtower Library, and the Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY.
3. The Video Reference Guide has links to videos that cover key Bible principles in our primary Bible study publications. The publisher conducting the study can determine how best to use the videos based on the circumstances and needs of the student. Some publishers may decide to view and discuss the videos during the study, while others may decide to encourage the student to view the videos as he prepares for the study.
4. You may want to add the Video Reference Guide to your Favorites in JW Library so that you can access it quickly. Go to PUBLICATIONS > BOOKS and find the Video Reference Guide in the list. Select the “More” button in the top-right corner of the publication, then select “Add to Favorites.”
5. By making good use of the videos featured in the Video Reference Guide and on jw.org, we can enhance the practical application of Bible principles in the everyday lives of Bible students and help them develop a solid foundation in the faith.—Col. 2:6, 7.
6. Field Service Report (S-4): We encourage you to review the Organized book, chapter 8, paragraphs 23 to 29, regarding what information to provide. For example, paragraph 24 mentions that in “the column titled “Placements (Printed and Electronic),” report the total number of publications—whether printed or electronic—that you shared with individuals who are not baptized Witnesses. Under “Video Showings,” report the number of times you were able to show one of our videos.”
7. In harmony with this, the Life and Ministry Meeting Workbook mentions that “you can place a publication from our Teaching Toolbox with someone by using jw.org to e-mail an electronic copy or share a link.” Although you can send publications, videos and links from jw.org or JW Library to interested ones, please do not post videos or electronic publications from our website on social networks or on other Internet sites.
9. Regarding how to count your time in the ministry, paragraph 28 of the Organized book indicates that we “must follow [our] Bible-trained conscience,” since publishers differ in the way they view their ministry.
10. New Publications: We provide you a list of new publications that can be ordered through your congregation’s literature servant. Also, is included a list of publications which printing has been discontinued.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Alternate Methods of Preaching: During this pandemic, it has become necessary for publishers to engage more fully in alternate ways of preaching. We commend you for your zealous efforts to “preach the word.” (2 Tim. 4:2) Please note the following reminders:
(1) Telephone Calls: Be considerate. Do not call too early or too late in the day. Please do not put a householder on speaker-phone so that others can hear the conversation.
(2) Text Messages and E-Mails: Text messages or e-mails should not be sent to individuals with whom you are not personally acquainted. In some cases, publishers who have sent such messages have received replies that are obscene or contain apostate content. Thus, it would be wise to limit text messaging and e-mails to return visits, Bible students, and other individuals with whom you are personally acquainted.
2. When sharing in the ministry, we appreciate your using good judgment, exercising due caution, and displaying good manners. (1 Cor. 13:4, 5) You can be sure that Jehovah will bless your zeal and determination “to bear thorough witness to the good news” during these challenging times.—Acts 20:24.

FOR CONGREGATIONS
1. Arrangements for Viewing the 2020 Convention: We greatly anticipate viewing the upcoming “Always Rejoice”! convention program in July and August. Understandably, due to family circumstances or other reasons, some publishers may find it necessary to view the convention sessions on their own at other times. This is left to the good judgment of each family head.
2. Publishers are encouraged to discuss points that they enjoyed from the program with one another throughout the week after viewing each session. We are confident that this convention program will heighten our appreciation for the need to strengthen one other as a unified organization during these difficult times.
3. Audio Descriptions for the 2020 Convention Videos: For the benefit of the blind and visually impaired, a separate set of the 2020 convention videos will be published with audio descriptions in English or Spanish. These videos provide descriptions of action that may not otherwise be understood by visually impaired persons. The videos will be available in a separate collection on jw.org and JW Library. (On jw.org, go to LIBRARY > VIDEOS > PROGRAMS
AND EVENTS. In JW Library, go to MEDIA > VIDEOS > PROGRAMS AND EVENTS.) They can also be found on jw.org by typing the words “audio description” in the search box. These video editions will also be available on the JW Broadcasting app on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Roku.
4. Evaluation of Pregroups and Groups: After carefully and prayerfully considering the needs in foreign- and indigenous-language fields, the Governing Body has asked circuit overseers to review all pregroups and groups. Over the next several months, this review will determine whether each pregroup or group should continue to function or be discontinued. If a pregroup or group that you are currently supporting is discontinued, please do not view this as an indication of failure. We warmly commend all those who are supporting the foreign- and indigenous-language fields. Your zealous efforts and fine work do not go unnoticed by Jehovah or his organization. (Heb. 6:10) We are confident that Jehovah will continue to bless your wholehearted service and the preaching work in foreign- and indigenous-language fields as we follow the leadings of the holy spirit to accomplish our primary goal of making disciples.— Matt. 28:19, 20.
